• Served as curriculum leaders at the school, district, and state levels.
• Led WVDE Curriculum and Resource Review Teams and WV Content Standards Review efforts.
• Contributed to WVDE Assessment Writing and Review (SGA) teams.
• Acted as County Science/STEM Coordinators and Regional Contacts for programs such as Science Fair, Plant the Moon Challenge, Pulsar Research Collaborators, and vertical alignment initiatives.
• Developed county pacing guides and supported alignment for K–12 science instruction.
• Served on the Executive Board of the West Virginia Science Teachers Association (WVSTA).
• Alicen is a Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) recipient—the nation’s highest honor for STEM educators.
• Bonnie has led ECET2 (Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers) initiatives, a national network supporting teacher leadership and collaboration.
